Discover the courage to live wholeheartedly

Daring with Brave Therapy™

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work
teams, and organizational leaders.
It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process, facilitators explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Participants are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviours that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and daily practices that transform how we live, love, parent, and lead.

I’ve been intrigued and excited about Brené Brown’s work since I first saw her TED talk on Vulnerability (see below) in 2010. Since then, I’ve read all of her books and participated in her online courses. In December 2013, I travelled to San Antonio to participate in the world-first training course for The Daring Way™, and in April 2014, I became the first Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator in Australia. You can read more here in my interview.

I utilize Brené Brown’s work in my psychotherapy and counselling and integrate The Daring Way™methodology into my work with trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and addictions of all kinds. You can read my guest writing for the ACF blog to explain the work in more detail.

Weekend group work for clients and professional development programs for therapists using The Daring Way™ are currently being scheduled. If you are interested in this work, please contact me via https://bravetherapy.com/workshops-courses/
